Getting started

From signup to a live review page in fifteen minutes.

Starkeel gives every client of yours a branded review page, one per technician, plus a private feedback inbox, a testimonial wall and a leaderboard. This page walks through the first fifteen minutes.

Before you start: two questions and one email

After signup you answer two quick questions about your agency, then the dashboard opens. We also send a confirmation link to your login address. The dashboard works straight away, but your review pages say “This page isn't live yet” and no feedback alerts go out until you click that link. The banner at the top of the dashboard sends a fresh one if it has not arrived.

1. Put your brand on it

Open Branding. Set your agency name, brand colour and logo, and the credit line (“Reputation by Your Agency” by default). Everything your clients and their customers see uses these. You can also add a favicon and a Support email; the support address is printed under testimonial walls for any client who has not set their own.

2. Add a client with their Google review link

Open Clients and press Add a client. The only things you really need are the business name and the Google “write a review” link. Here is how to find it. Once the client is saved, a Test link appears under the field; use it to check the right business opens. Facebook is optional; Yelp is off by default because Yelp asks businesses not to solicit reviews and may filter ones that were.

Your workspace starts with a sample client so you can see what a finished one looks like. It does not count toward setup or your plan limit; add a real one.

You get a company review page immediately at yourname.starkeel.com/client-name. Paste that link into the client's invoice email or the post-job text their field software already sends. Nothing needs printing.

3. Add technicians

On the client's Technicians & QR tab, add each tech by name. Each one gets a stable short code like /r/k7m2pqz. Renaming a technician never changes the code, so printed cards keep working.

4. Download a QR code or copy the link

Download the PNG for print or the SVG for designers, or copy the company link from Links & report. Either one marks your workspace as activated. The Card button opens a ready-to-print 3.5 × 2 inch card for each technician.

5. Send the client their report

Every client has a read-only report page under your brand. Press Copy report link at the top of the client's page (it is also on Links & report) and email the link to the owner. Copying it for a real client ticks this step. Share a report with the client explains what the page shows and how to revoke a link.

6. Scan it yourself

Once a real client has a Google link, the checklist on the Overview shows a QR code with a test tag. Scan it with your phone, leave a two-star rating with a note, and watch it land on the client's Private feedback tab. Your own scans are marked as tests and never count as real customers. The checklist disappears once steps 1 to 5 are done; this one you can repeat any time. Feedback, testimonials and alerts explains how later test scans are recognised.

Show reviews on the client's website

On Links & report, copy the one-line script and paste it into the client's site where reviews should appear. It loads an iframe sized to its content and only shows testimonials you have approved. There is also a hosted wall page at /client-name/wall.

Each client has a read-only Client report link: stats, leaderboard, open feedback and approved testimonials, under your brand. It never shows a customer's phone number or email; those stay in your dashboard. Anyone with the link can open it, so send it privately. Links stop working 90 days after they are created or regenerated; the page shows the date and has a button for a new link, which stops the old one working.
